Young Researcher Competition
- 1.
- Eligibility: Graduate students as well as young researchers who obtained PhD degree within the last ten years are eligible for this special session.
- 2.
- Among the submitted abstracts, 8 contributions will be selected as oral presentations of the duration of 15 min (12min+3min questions) each.
- 3.
- Best Oral Presentation Award will be assigned to the best oral presentations given at the Young Researcher Competition.
- 4.
- Contributions which are not selected as oral presentations for the Young Researcher Competition will be accepted for the Poster session of December 14th. Participants are not required to register twice.
- 5.
- In REMARK BOX in the registration form, the applicants should input a short CV, indicating in particular how many years have passed since they have been awarded the PhD degree.
Information about poster and poster-preview presentations
To Poster Presenters:

- For Poster Preview of 1 minute:
One page slide in landscape (either in std 4:3 or wide 16:9 format) in PDF (Less than 1.5 MB).

For All the posters (online and onsite presentations):
High resolution PDF(less than 10 MB) for A0-size printing (84.1 cm x 118.9 cm). The poster board space is 90 cm wide x 180 cm high (from the floor).
Low resolution preview images will be created by OSS office and uploaded in the password protected OSS2021 conference site. Only for online poster presenters, OSS office will print your PDF file and post it on the onsite poster board. For onsite poster presenters, please print and bring your own posters to ICC Kyoto.

For ONLINE poster presentation on Dec. 15:
A Zoom Breakout room is prepared for each poster. We recommend you to share on the screen the whole poster in high resolution (2) OR ppt slides of no more than 5 pages. Poster session Zoom will not be recorded by the OSS office. Your posters will not be published on the open internet and will be deleted after the conference.
